African Politics and Development Policy
Julião Alar is a lecturer of political science at the chair of Political Science: African Politics & Development Policy. He is a doctoral researcher in political science at the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies (BIGSAS). His current research focuses on party agencies in sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on Mozambique. He is also a resident analyst on international politics focusing on Africa for the Observatório Internacional programme on Mozambican television STV. He holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in political science from Sciences Po Bordeaux and University Eduardo Mondlane, respectively.
