Julia Kasten is a doctoral researcher at the University of Bayreuth Graduate School. Her research focuses on how social networks contribute to the efficiency of pro-democratic movements in African and European contexts. She holds a Master's degree in political science from RWTH Aachen University and a Bachelor's degree in Art History from University Düsseldorf. Alongside her academic work, she has gained professional experience within the European institutions and worked as an Advocacy and Policy Officer in the field of European cultural policy.
